Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy forms part of the information concerning the processing of Personal Data provided through the Website. It describes the use of cookies, browser storage and comparable technologies in connection with n-line.ch. It must be read together with the Website's Privacy Policy.

1. Operator and Scope

The Website is operated by NORTHLINE — HR Operations & Advisory, under the responsibility of Aleksia Rabinovich (the Operator). Data-protection enquiries may be addressed to legal@n-line.ch.

This Policy applies to each natural person accessing the Website (the User). The terms Personal Data, Processing, Usage Data and Website have the meanings attributed to them in the Privacy Policy.

For the purposes of this Policy, Tracking Technologies comprise cookies and similar mechanisms capable of storing, reading or otherwise using information on a User's device, including local storage, session storage and comparable identifiers. A Cookie is a small data element stored by a browser. A Third-Party Technology is supplied or operated by an entity other than the Operator. Requests for external website resources do not necessarily involve placement of a Cookie or another Tracking Technology.

2. Purposes of the Technologies Used

Depending on the functionality requested, the Website may use technical mechanisms for its operation, the prevention of misuse, the presentation of content and language selection. Certain technologies are operated directly through the Website; others involve external providers. Where a Third-Party Technology is used, the applicable technical characteristics and retention period may also be determined by its provider.

2.1. Necessary Operation and Security

Technical mechanisms may be employed to maintain the Website's essential functions, secure its forms, verify interactions and prevent automated submissions or other misuse.

Cloudflare Turnstile — anti-abuse verification

The Website uses Cloudflare Turnstile on contact and individual-consultation forms. The verification service may access browser characteristics and connection information and use browser storage for security-related functions. A previous Website inspection identified a Cloudflare local-storage entry designated cf.turnstile.u; it did not establish a fixed lifetime or that the entry was a conventional HTTP cookie. The service is provided by Cloudflare; details of its processing are available in the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Other technical security functions may record information concerning access attempts or suspicious activity. These functions are not, by that fact alone, evidence of advertising or behavioural measurement.

2.2. Language Presentation and Website Functionality

The Website uses Weglot to make content available in multiple languages. Depending on the page and resources requested, access to a translated page may involve technical requests to Weglot-operated or associated content-delivery services. These requests may transmit ordinary connection data, including the User's IP address.

Language selection or redirection may involve browser preferences or similar technical information when enabled. The use, if any, of persistent language-preference storage must be assessed against the configuration deployed on the Website.

For information concerning the processing of website content by the translation service, reference is made to the Privacy Policy.

2.3. Measurement and Marketing Technologies

At the time of the most recent limited technical inspection, no active third-party advertising pixel, Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager request was established on the pages inspected. This is a statement about the inspected configuration and not an assurance that no technical identifier can ever be present.

If optional measurement, advertising or other tracking functionality is introduced, this Policy and any legally required user-choice mechanism will be reviewed and amended before its use.

2.4. External Content Resources

Certain website presentation resources, including fonts, may be obtained from external infrastructure. In particular, the Website currently uses Google Fonts. A connection to an external resource may involve disclosure of technical connection information even where that resource does not install a cookie. Such processing is addressed in the Privacy Policy and is not presented here as evidence of an unverified tracking cookie.

3. First-Party and Third-Party Technologies

First-party technologies are managed within the Website's own infrastructure or under the Operator's technical configuration.

Third-party technologies are supplied through external services. The Operator selects the functions used on the Website but does not control every technical property of the providers' systems, including changes to their technology or retention mechanisms. Relevant provider documentation should be consulted for details of specific technologies not fully determined by the Operator.

The presence of third-party browser storage, the fact that a provider is contacted, and the processing of Personal Data are separate questions; not every external request results in a cookie.

4. Lifetimes of Cookies and Comparable Information

Technical identifiers may be retained for the duration of a session or, where functionality requires it, for a longer period. Their actual duration depends on the technology and settings concerned, the User's browser and, for third-party mechanisms, the relevant provider's configuration.

The Operator does not represent that all technologies share the same expiry period. Information stored locally may also be removed earlier by the User through the browser's storage controls.

5. User Choices and Controls

Users can ordinarily inspect, restrict or remove cookies and local website data through the privacy and storage settings of their browsers or devices. Blocking technologies required for essential website functions or form security may prevent those functions from operating correctly.

Where a specific technology requires consent or a further method of refusal under applicable law, the corresponding information and choice mechanism shall be made available. Where third-party controls apply, the User may also consult the provider's published instructions.

6. Processing of Personal Data and Further Information

To the extent that Tracking Technologies involve Personal Data, their Processing is subject to the Website's Privacy Policy, including the relevant purposes, categories of recipients, foreign disclosures and applicable rights.

For enquiries relating to this Cookie Policy or the processing of Personal Data, contact legal@n-line.ch.

7. Legal Framework and Amendments

This Policy is prepared by reference to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, in relation to storage and access to data on terminal equipment, Article 45c of the Swiss Telecommunications Act (TCA). Other mandatory law applies where relevant to the particular processing activity.

The Operator may update this Policy to reflect changes to the technologies deployed, the purposes of their use or applicable legal requirements. The current version will state its date of revision.
